The "Ballyshear Golf Links" will be born on the outskirts of Bangkok in 2021, as one of the best
golf courses in the world, and the Ban Rakat Club will provide a high level of hospitality.
The course is being designed by Gil Hanse, one of the world's best golf course designers, as a legendary
links, similar to the "Lido Golf Course" and as a tribute to Charles Blair Macdonald, a master golf
course designer in the United States.
We will develop the course with the cooperation of specialists from various fields, including top-notch
landscapers and super intendants who have worked on world-class courses.
Based on classic golf course hole designs, such as the "Redan", "Alps" and "Punch
Bowl", the excellent 18 holes will open the door to a new level of appeal of golf with excitement.
The naming of Ballyshear Golf Links is another homage to Charles Blair Macdonald, who recognized that Long Island, outside New Yo r k City, was home to some of America’s most ideal golfing terrain. In 1913, he would build his ancestral estate there, in Southampton, overlooking his iconic design at the National Golf Links of America and the equally formidable Shinnecock Hills GC. Macdonald would dub this new home Ballyshear.
